Ulteriori informazioni / contenuti	Textures ist mein erstes Werk für grosses Bläserensemble mit Schlagwerk und Klavier. Meine Absicht war, ein farbiges und zugleich herausforderndes Werk mit erstaunlichen Effekten für die Musiker und das Publikum zu schaffen. Die unzähligen Farbschraffierungsressourcen der verschiedenen Instrumente haben mich stets fasziniert und diese habe ich hier verwertet. Zu Beginn, in einem Allegro, treten die Blechblasinstrumente, dann die Holzbläser und schlussendlich Schlagwerk und Klavier aufeinanderfolgend auf. Dieser erste Satz (in 6/8) mündet attacca in den zweiten (4/2), langsameren und dunkleren, dem unterbruchslos ein dritter in 4/4 folgt, ein brillanter und energischer Allegro-Satz. Ausser im ersten Satz verändern und entwickeln sich die Texturen und die Orchestrationsgeometrie des Werkes fortlaufend. Anthony Plog, September 2011, Freiburg i. Br., Deutschland Textures is the first work I wrote for a large ensemble, and so my intention was to write a work that would be both colorful and also challenging for performers and audience alike. I have always been attracted to the many shadings that each instrument can give to a note, and so Textures is written in a way that tries to exploit these possibilities. The piece begins with an allegro using first the brass, then woodwinds, and finally percussion and piano. This opening 6/8 allegro is followed by a slower and darker section in 4/2, which leads to a bright and energetic final allegro in 4/4. With the exception of the first section, which first introduces the different instruments, the textures in the orchestration are constantly changing and evolving. Anthony Plog, September 2011, Freiburg i. Br., Germany Textures est la première pièce que j'ai écrite pour un grand ensemble d'instruments à vent avec percussions. Mon intention était de jouer avec les couleurs, les rhythmes des cuivres, bois, piano, percussions avec diverses imbrications. Un défi pour les exécutants avec des effets étonnants pour les auditeurs. J'ai toujours été attiré par les timbres, coloris et nuances des instruments à vent et c'est sur cet éventail, élargi de quelques percussions ,que j'ai construit cette oeuvre. L'allegro initial (en 6/8) présente séparément les cuivres, les bois et finalement les percussions avec piano. Ce premier mouvement passe attacca dans un mouvement plus lent et sombre en 4/2, auquel succède, toujours sans interruption, un allegro en 4/4 brillant et énergique. Mis à part le premier mouvement, les textures de l'ensemble se mélangent, changent et évoluent constamment comme à travers un prisme.
