Ulteriori informazioni / contenuti	Brige ist ein dreisätziges Werk, ein mini-Requiem für Tuba/Euphonium Quartett und Kontratenor (ad lib.). Es wurde von den Söhnen Brigita Hazners zu ihrem Gedenken bestellt. Der Text des ersten Satzes ist aus dem Testament von 'Bridge' (Brigita) und wird in etwa so übersetzt: 'die Jahre vergehen, die Sehnsüchte verflüchtigen sich, der Schmerz in der Brust soll enden!' Aus einem lituanischen Volkslied stammt der Text des dritten Satzes. Er wurde beim Begräbnis von Bridge vorgetragen: 'Lädt Gott ein, müssen wir gehorchen'. Diese Komposition illustriert das angeregte Leben und den letzten Kampf von Bridge gegen eine grausame Krankheit, sie will aber auch eine Darstellung des Lebens selbst sein. Der erste Satz, 'Lament', schildert die Hässlichkeiten der Welt und den Kampf des Mensch um sein Überleben in Krieg, Krankheit, Hungersnot, Ignoranz und Selbstsucht. Im Gegensatz dazu geht es im zweiten Satz, 'Spirit', um Lebensfreude und -genuss. Der dritte Satz, betitelt 'Einladung', wirft einen beschaulichen Blick auf ein Leben nach dem Leben oder zumindest auf den Übergang von einem Leben zu einem anderen. Bridge is a large three movement work or 'mini-requiem' for tuba/euphonium quartet and countertenor (optional). It was commissioned to memorialize the life of Brigita Hazners by her sons. The first movement's text by Bridge herself was written on her will and testament and loosely translates to: 'Years pass, desires abate, the pain in one's breast shall cease.' The third movement text comes from a Latvian folksong and was included in Bridge's obituary by her husband and can be translated to: 'When God invites, then one must follow.' While this composition is very much a depiction of Bridge's spirited life and ultimate struggle with a tremendously difficult and painful illness, the work is also meant to depict a portrayal of life itself. The first movement, Lament, depicts the ugliness of the world we live in and how we struggle to survive in a time of war, disease, famine, ignorance, and selfishness. Conversely, the second movement, 'Spirit' depicts the supreme joy and relentless jubilation that comes with life on Earth. The third movement, Invitation, deals mostly with the contemplation of an afterlife or at least the transition from one life to the next. Bridge est une grande oeuvre en trois mouvements, un mini requiem pour quatuor de tubas et contre-ténor (facultatif). Elle fut commandée par les fils de Brigita Hazners en sa mémoire. Le texte en lituanien du 1er mouvement est tiré du testament de Bridge (Brigita) et se traduit par: 'Les années passent, les désirs diminuent, que la douleur dans la poitrine cesse!' Le texte du 3e provient d'un chant traditionnel Lituanien qui fut récité lors des funérailles de Bridge: 'Quand Dieu invite, nous devons obéir'. Cette composition relate la vie intense et l'ultime combat de Bridge contre une maladie douloureuse, mais elle se veut aussi être un portrait de la vie même. Le 1er mouvement, 'Lament', décrit la laideur du monde et comment l'homme se bat pour survivre en période de guerre, de maladie, de famine, d'ignorance et d'égoïsme. A l'opposé, le 2e mouvement 'Spirit' incarne la joie et la jubilation de la vie sur Terre.
