Das Final- 'Quodlibet' (mit Untertitel 'Widmung an die englisch-französische Freundschaft') ist ein freundlicher Wink an die Mitglieder des Genfer Blechbläsertrios, die Franzosen Francis Bodet (Trompete) und Achille Bonnal (Horn) und den Engländer Thomas Morley (Posaune), alle Mitglieder des Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, Widmungsträger und 1946 Uraufführende des Werkes. Tatsächlich mischen sich in diesem Werk ein englisches und ein burgundisches Volksliedthema. Consisting of a suite of five dances, by turns solemn, mysterious, lively or impulsive, this composition (1946) strictly follows the rules of counterpoint, making use of fugal style, alternating with or superimposing themes like for example the 'Intrada'. The final 'Quodlibet' (subtitled 'in homage to Anglo-French friendship') is a good-natured wink at the members of the Geneva Brass Trio (the French Francis Bodet, trumpet and Achille Bonnal, horn and the British Thomas Morley, trombone, all members of the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande), to whom the work is dedicated, and who performed the premiere. Indeed, this piece blends and mixes two folk songs, one English, one Burgundian. Formée d'une suite de cinq danses, tantôt graves, mystérieuses, tantôt gaies et primesautières, cette composition (1946) obéit aux règles du contrepoint le plus strict, faisant appel au style fugué, à l'alternance et à la superposition des thèmes (par exemple l'Intrada). Le 'Quodlibet' final qui porte le sous-titre 'en hommage à l'amitié franco-anglaise' est un amical clin d'oeil aux membres du Trio de Cuivres de Genève, formé des Français Francis Bodet (trompette), Achille Bonnal (cor) et de l'Anglais Thomas Morley (trombone), dédicataires et créateurs de l'œuvre, tous membre de l'Orchestre de la Suisse Romande.
