Ulteriori informazioni / contenuti	Diese 'Drei Episoden' habe ich 2001 für ein CD-Projekt zusammen mit Phil Smith für die International Trumpe Guilde geschrieben. Die Sätze tragen keine Titel, der erste aber ist eine Art deklamatorische Trompetenfanfare über einer Serie von Klangpyramiden am Klavier. Der zweite, quasi ein Wiegenlied, kann auch auf dem Flügelhorn gespielt werden; im Mittelteil stehen Trompetenkadenzen sanften Klavierklustern gegenüber. Der dritte Satz ist grundsätzlich ein Marsch mit mehreren kontrastreichen Sequenzen. Dieses CD-Projekt war als Beispiel für eine gute Auswahl von zugänglichen und interessanten Werken für fortgeschrittene Studenten gedacht. Although I never gave the individual movements any titles - the first movement is basically a fanfare build on a series of pyramids in the piano along with declamatory trumpet writing. The second movement is very much like a lullaby, played on either the flugelhorn or trumpet. This is a song like piece with a middle section juxtaposing trumpet cadenzas with soft clusters in the piano. The third movement is basically a march with several contrasting sections. The intent of this CD project was to give a good example of pieces that a fairly competent trumpet student could find playable and interesting. Aucun des trois mouvements ne porte formellement de titre, mais le premier est une sorte de fanfare déclamée à la trompette sur une série de pyramides sonores projetées au piano. Le second, quasi une berceuse, peut être avantageusement joué au bugle. Une partie médiane juxtapose cadences de trompette et clusters fins au piano. Le troisième mouvement est une sorte de marche avec plusieurs séquences contrastées.
