These 24 Studies have been transcribed from the fugues of The Well-Tempered Clavier, Book I, written by J.S.Bach in 1722. The use of each of the twelve major and minor keys offered a unique collection for the period and stands as a landmark in the history of music. Bach intended that the performer should have a great deal of freedom in interpreting this work. In this edition for trumpet, tempos have been indicated in general terms rather than with specific metronome markings. Les 24 Studies pour trompette sont des extraits des fugues du volume I du Clavecin bien Tempéré de J.S. Bach, écrites en 1722.
